World Refugee Day 2025

To mark World Refugee Day, Across the Border hosted Unity Through Culture & Community, a gathering dedicated to celebrating refugee voices, cultures, and stories. The event brought together community members, creatives, and advocates for an afternoon of dialogue, cultural exchange, and storytelling.

Through panel discussions, performances, and shared reflections, participants explored themes of identity, resilience, and belonging while highlighting the contributions of refugee communities. The event created a welcoming space for connection and learning, encouraging attendees to engage with diverse perspectives and lived experiences.

Held during Refugee Week, a global programme of events around 20 June that amplifies refugee voices and promotes inclusive communities, the gathering reinforced the importance of solidarity, cultural celebration, and collective action.
